I have always been interested in drawing and in 1998, completed a Design Degree at Christchurch Polytechnic Institute of Technology. In my final year while studying the New Zealand Villa, a passion for architecture was born.
I have previously worked as a Graphic Artist for Tourism. This experience gave me the confidence to hold my first exhibition at The Christchurch Arts Centre in 2003. Since then, I have held annual exhibitions at The Christchurch Arts Centre and have exhibited my Pen and Ink Architectural Illustrations in several Christchurch Art Galleries, Wineries and Restaurants.
I have illustrated a large number of well known Heritage Buildings in Christchurch and the opportunity to capture the history and intricate detail of these buildings brings me immense satisfaction.
In 2004, I was commissioned to illustrate the old Christchurch Women’s Hospital for the new Christchurch Women’s Hospital. In 2007, I produced a series of prints and gift cards for the Christchurch Cathedral which are sold in the Christchurch Cathedral shop. Currently, I am working on a large series of watercolours for the Christchurch Cathedral.
